Hi Folks,

I had an enjoyable time at the High Voltage festival where I joined Uriah Heep on stage to play some slide guitar in their 'Demons and Wizards' set. There might be more of the same!
Monsters of British Rock will be touring in November and December, but we hope to see some of you before then! Please check the Dates section on this site for more info or go to the band's website. Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Hi Folks,

I'm pleased to announce that my new album 'Electric Journeyman' is now available for downloading. If you wish to download any of the tracks, please go to official sources such as itunes, emusic, 7Digital, Play.com etc. Please do not subscribe to that criminal collective known as 'pirates'. They are illegal and do not pay the artist royalties. The CD is officially released on July 24th and can be obtained directly from this website or from Armadillo Music on bluearmadillo.com - happy listening!

Hi Folks,

It was great to hook up with Michael Schenker on the German ZDF TV show, Fernsehgarten. Although the proceedings were somewhat bizzare, and an ear infection reduced my aural powers to mono only, a good time was had by all! It was good to meet up with Paul Carrack once again; we played together in Frankie Miller's band many moons ago. Apologies to Andreas for being unable to join him and the gang on the internet recording of 'Welcome To Europe' due to travel arrangements.

'Electric Journeyman' is now mixed and mastered and will be available soon. Watch this space for details.

Don't forget to listen to the Paul Jones show at 7pm on Monday, May 18th where I'll be joining Jimmy Copley in session with the rest of his band on four songs.

Hi Folks,

I've managed to resist the temptation to hibernate by writing and recording a new CD, 'Electric Journeyman'. It's an album of instrumental guitar music which has been a pleasure to create and record. The project is almost finished and should be available sometime in May.

Check out Vault - Video, there you will find videos of the Micky Moody Band.

Watch this space for further developments!

Hi Folks,

There is now another video track from my 'Acoustic Journeyman' CD to accompany 'Rockerbilly Fury'. Go to Wynono's Dance and watch 'it in glorious (and slightly surreal) technicolour! Many thanks to Steve Barker for putting it together. Have a great Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

Hi Folks,

Having made a conscious decision to cut down on public and corporate live shows for the moment, it's always an exciting prospect to be involved in something special. This year's Sunflower Jam on September 25th at the Porchester Hall in London promises to be just that. I'll be sharing the stage with Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson, Rick Wakeman from Yes, Amy Winehouse's backing singers Zalon and Ade, Steve Balsamo from the Stories, and many more talented performers including surprise guests. Deep Purple are headlining and the maestro himself, Jon Lord, will be joining the band on stage. It's going to be a memorable night!

Hi Folks,

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mel Galley. We played together in Whitesnake back in 1983, and though I only saw him a few times after that, I remember him as a talented guy with a a lot of soul. Rest in peace, Mel.

You can now watch me playing Rockerbilly Fury from Acoustic Journeyman, and please, check out the dancers! Go to Vault / Video and click on the link there.

Hi Folks,

I had a great time in Japan as Jimmy Copley's special guest on his 'Slap My Hand' promotional tour. Absolutely fabulous band (see section in Projects - Micky And Friends), and look forward to doing the same again! Jimmy's album is selling well over there and he is currently negotiating release dates for other territories. At the moment I'm busy writing music for Media purposes and find it very interesting, See you at the Herzberg Festival on July 20th.

Hi Folks,

Many thanks to all aboard the recent Silja Rock Cruise in Scandanavia. We had a rockin' good time and special thanks go out to Magnus, the event organiser. Soon I'll be flying to Japan to perform there for the first time in twenty five years! I'll be working with drummer Jimmy Copley and Japanese guitar legend Char and his band on Jimmy's 'Slap My Hand' tour. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to it!

Hi Folks,

I'll be playing at the International Dealer’s Reception of the Frankfurt Music Fair on Agora stage on Wednesday 12th March. Alongside me in “Rock & Soul Unlimited” will be Neil Murray on bass, Jimmy Copley on drums, Mel Collins on sax, Gav Conder on vocals and Helmut Zerlett on Hammond organ.
Jimmy's album, “Slap My Hand”, will be released in Japan in May, and I had the pleasure of performing on four tracks, including my own composition, Down Home Boy. Jeff Beck, Char, Pino Palladino, Pete Cox and Neil Murray are some of the star names featured on the album. It's a real treat!

Hi Folks,

Well, it's that quiet January period, so I'm concentrating on song-writing and future projects of which more later.
I'd like to take this opportunity to express my thoughts on the practise of boot-legging. Most of us are aware of piracy; albums and DVD's recorded and released without the artist's consent are illegal and an insult to the integrity of the performer. The artist receives nothing by way of payment for all his effort and hard work. DO NOT BUY THEM. Even the well-meaning fan must always seek permission from the artist before recording or filming any event. It makes little difference when these recordings can be downloaded for free - they are still illegal. Circulation of such works will, somewhere down the line, result in ruthless profiteering by others.

Hi Folks,

Nice to see some of you at the Roger Chapman gigs in Germany and at Roger's Christmas show in Leicester. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a rocking Christmas and great New Year.

Hi Folks,

Thanks to everyone who came to my CD release party on the 20th. Apologies for the slightly late start due to a late photo call. Thanks also to Ossi for joining me on stage for the acoustic duet and muchas gracias to Tscharlie, Andi and Olli for rocking out with me in the second half.
